The Unfiltered Truth: Everything You’re Afraid to Ask About Vaccine Science was a public program at the Museum of Science, Boston, featuring leading public health experts in an open discussion on vaccine science and public trust. I designed promotional materials for the event, including social media assets, a printed flyer, and background artwork used across platforms. The visual approach needed to support a complex and sensitive topic while remaining clear and credible to a broad audience.
The project aligned with the Museum’s evolving brand direction, which emphasized leading with their primary colors: red, white, and black. While this palette offered clarity and impact, I was mindful that it could feel stark for a topic centered on trust and transparency. To balance this, I adapted a stock vector pattern inspired by microscopic structures found in bacteria and viruses, recoloring it to add contrast, depth, and scientific context while softening the overall tone. The final system adhered to brand guidance while reinforcing the event’s goal of fostering informed, open dialogue.
